TWI2050 is headed by Prof. Dr. Nebojsa Nakicenovic who is its Executive Director. At the talk, we have invited Prof. Dr. Nakicenovic to share the key findings from the two TWI2050 reports, as well as the role that digitalization can play in sustainable development. Participants can also engage in a discussion with Prof. Dr. Nakicenovic to look at how TWI2050 can be applicable to Taiwan’s context and SDG implementation.

Professor Fortun will share the research findings from her work in environmental risks and disaster studies at the forum, and hope that it could result in more exchanges and learning opportunities for environmental risk management in Taiwan.

With the mass adoption and increasing popularity of mobile equipment, coupled with the development of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, our world is entering the era of digitalization. The Risk Society and Policy Research Center (RSPRC) is an integrated platform for transdisciplinary sharing of ideas, knowledge and practical actions. In the face of climate change, air pollution, energy transition and other emerging risks, the general public have the right to know the formation of various risks and their impacts, which will provide the basis for effective public engagement in relevant policymaking, implementation and assessment.
