This article, with reference to the United States experience, proposes two recommendations on the air quality management in Taiwan, from the concept of governance as well as from the structure level. First, the need to rebuild the air quality management area which targets the hardest hit areas and victims. Then the air pollution regulations must specify the governance cycle, deadline, reducing the delay of political and external factors that delay the governance schedule.
