Chien-Ming Hsu, Ph.D student, National Development Institute, National Taiwan University

Since 1950, the World Health Day has been set up by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 7 April every year. The main objective is to promote global health and health concerns. The theme of 2015 World Health Day coincides with the most popular topic in Taiwan in recent years: food safety. Based on the observations conducted by the World Health Organization, it is easy to conclude that today's food problems are mainly food-related diseases, food production chains and global trade.
