The Workshop on Social Impact Assessment was hosted by RSPRC on January 11, 2017. Dr. David Ip, Professor Emeritus from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and University of Queensland, was invited by RSPRC to give a talk introducing some key issues and sharing his thoughts on the international theory and framework of social impact assessment. Several scholars were also invited to join discussion, including Dr. Jung-Chung Hsu (Professor, Department of History and Geography, University of Taipei), Dr. Shih-Jung Hsu (Professor, Department of Land Economics, National Chengchi University), Dr. Hsin-Yi Lu (Associate Professor, Department of Anthropology, National Taiwan University) and Dr. Da-Wei Kuan (Associate Professor, Department of Ethnology, National Chengchi University). Some civil organizations and social groups also came to participate the workshop.
