"2016 International Conference of Social Welfare Politics in Chinese Societies" was held by the Risk and Policy Research Center, College of Social Science (RSPRC) at National Taiwan University. The main theme of this year's conference was "New Risk and New Social Policy: Horizon among Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong." Prof Kuei-Tien Chou, RSPRC Director, welcomed all presenters and participants. We were pleased of having several distinguished guests coming to the conference, including Dr. Kwok-Hong Chan (Associate Professor, Department of Applied Social Science at City University of Hong Kong), Prof. Sek-Yum Ngai (Chairperson, Department of Social Work at The Chinese University of Hong Kong), Dr. Lih-Rong Wang (Professor, Department of Social Work at National Taiwan University), Prof. Xin-Ping Guan (Chairperson, Department Social Work and Social Policy at Nankai University), Dr. Fen-Ling Chen (Professor, Department of Social Work at National Taipei University), and Prof. Chia-Chen Chou (Associate Professor, Graduate Institute of National Development at National Taiwan University). Prof Kuei-Tien Chou invited them to visit the RSPRC office. They had a nice conversation with some RSPRC research fellows.
