Since its founding in 2006, TMI Trail has been making a series of efforts to make the trails a greenway, a hand-made pedestrians and a ring trail of the island. It is hoping to use the trail as the fulcrum of safety and risk perception, linking to the environment, ecology, local histories, and habitats, community-building, culture-making and democratization. Rethinking the relationship between man and nature, reflecting on what developmentalism means, and developing the creativity and imagination of environmental ethics, these are meant to achieve a holistic approach to the development of society — the Gestalt transformation.
