The environmental policy in Taiwan is becoming more and more rigorous; however, compared with the progress of OECD and other countries from the perspective of the overall energy transition, we clearly experienced the lack of transition momentum and the phenomenon of lagging behind, no matter it's non-market indicators of renewable energy R & D investment, or purchase price of wind and solar power, as well as the proportion of renewable energy, and the improvement of energy efficiency, which is one of the biggest challenges Taiwan faces in the future of the transition towards green economy.
