The issue of global sustainable development and its local practice is situated in the close proximity of daily life: Cities. The vision and goal of sustainability and its governance pattern; grassroots democracy and the empowerment of people; how to react to all these appeals? The answer lies on ecological environment education, citizen participation and the democratic governance of the development of sustainable cities. This provides one of the crucial answers.
